Kristin Knox-Attar, CHAM, CHA

Senior Vice President

Kristin has over 20 years of hospitality industry experience. As Senior Vice President, she is responsible for the asset management of multiple assets including luxury, resort and boutique properties. She specializes in working directly with hotel management companies on all owner-related decisions and activities, including budget review, renovation planning, capital expenditures and management oversight. Kristin also participates in consulting and due diligence assignments as well as new business development.

  • Prior to hotelAVE, Kristin worked as Senior Development Analyst for Edge-Star Partners INC., a joint venture with Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and developed a proposed 4,000-room W Las Vegas Hotel, Casino & Residences. She participated in all aspects of the development with a focus in strategic planning, market research, financial analysis and condo-hotel rental program structuring
  • She also served with Hilton Hotels Corporation in their Feasibility and Investment Analysis department, conducting project feasibility analysis and market research. Previously, she held operation positions in Finance and Front Office

Kristin graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration. She is a member of the California Receivers Forum, the Cornell Hotel Society (CHS) – Southern California Chapter, and the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA). She is a Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM), a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA), and is a Licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of California. She has also written many articles including ISHC Capex 2017 – A Study of Expenditures in the Hotel Industry (2014) and 5 Ways to Optimize Hotel Asset Preservation (2014).
