David Israel, CHAM, CHA

Senior Vice President

David has over 15 years of hospitality experience. As an active member of the Executive Committee, he oversees day-to-day operations and strategy to maximize the investment value of primarily independent and lifestyle assets and leads the firm’s development projects. In his role as Senior Vice President, he is responsible for client relations, including identifying acquisition opportunities, asset management and consulting assignments. David was instrumental in the formation of hotelAVE’s operational efficiency division, providing clients with unprecedented consulting and advisory support, including on-the-ground operational services

  • Prior to joining hotelAVE, David worked at Denihan Hospitality Group on the Acquisitions and Development team researching, underwriting, and pitching potential hotel projects
  • Prior to the Denihan Hospitality Group, David worked for PKF Hospitality Research. There, he developed an Excel interface based on Hotel Horizons reports (Hotel Horizons Multi-Market Platform) geared to assist hotel owners in tracking their portfolio and properties performance against past, present and future market data

David graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration. He is a member of the Cornell Hotel Society (CHS), the EPAREL (Bib & Tucker) Advisory Board, the Hospitality Asset Managers Association (HAMA) and the International Luxury Hospitality Association (ILHA) Leadership Board. He is also a Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) and Certified Hotel Asset Manager (CHAM). In 2014, he was named among Hotel Management’s prestigious “Thirty Under 30”, recognizing the hotel industry’s top talent.
