Austin is a highly experienced professional with over a decade of experience in hotel asset management, hospitality technology, data analysis, and reporting. In his current role as Chief Technology Officer, Austin oversees the development of the company’s proprietary analytics, reporting, and business intelligence platform used by both our associates (to maximize value) and our clients (to monitor their portfolio performance).
Prior to joining HotelAVE, Austin served as Vice President of Asset Management for Pebblebrook Hotel Trust, a multi-billion dollar REIT with over 50 hotels in its portfolio. During his tenure, he led portfolio-wide initiatives and was responsible for managing technology and reporting systems, negotiating master agreements with vendors and technology partners, and focusing on value add strategic focus areas such as energy and sustainability management and revenue management analytics.
As a founding executive of the Curator Hotel and Resort Collection, Austin oversaw the growth of a new hospitality platform and was key to the selection and negotiation of major technology systems for the company’s portfolio of over 90 independent hotels. In his role as Vice President, he advised member hotels on system selection, technology upgrades, and innovative solutions to drive asset value.
Before joining Pebblebrook, Austin built an analytics practice and developed new tools to enhance LaSalle Hotel Properties’ asset management platform, ultimately creating both corporate and hotel-level efficiencies.
