Kevin has over 30 years of accounting, finance and operations experience in the hospitality and real estate industries. At hotelAVE, Kevin is responsible for executing owner accounting, cash management, loan compliance and participates in our internal control protocols lead by the firm’s Chief Administrative Officer. He also uses his expertise to support the asset management team in the areas of internal controls and procedures, transition management, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and labor efficiency analysis.
Kevin’s experience includes VP Accounting at Alamo Drafthouse Cinemas where he led accounting, treasury, risk management and operation’s financial support for 40+ unit movie theatre restaurant chain where he implemented cash monitoring, critical to the company’s survival during the COVID-19 crisis and oversaw the company’s year end audit and lender compliance reporting process. As Chief Financial Officer of HMC Hospitality, Kevin ran finance, strategy, treasuring, risk management and operation financial support for a hotel management company of 9 hotels branded by Marriott, Hilton and IHG. There he refinanced four hotel mortgage loans, reducing interest exposure, implemented labor management and a paperless AP processes using technology that also improved operational efficiency. While Corporate Controller at Landry’s, he oversaw a 130-member accounting team responsible for financial compliance for a 500+ global restaurant, hotel and casino resort conglomerate. He was part of a senior project team that secured several corporate bonds and bank loan transactions totaling $3B. Kevin spent 10 years at Wyndham Hotels and Resorts where he rose from Controller of the Hotel Franchising Division to the CFO of the Wyndham Upscale Brand Division. Prior to this, Kevin held director of finance positions at several hotels and he started his career in public accounting.
