Alec Ulnick brings over 7 years of experience including hotel operations, revenue management, hotel real estate consulting, and asset management. He provides strategic asset management support to a portfolio of hotel properties along with ad hoc advisory services for a wide range of clients. Responsibilities include preparing operational reviews and strategic improvement plans, underwriting hotel acquisitions, and conducting ROI analyses. Alec lead the development of the hotelAVE proprietary business intelligence platform, with the goal to generate internal efficiency and standardization across all relevant hotel key performance indicators and benchmarking statistics. This system is now consistently used by hotelAVE to add value in both asset management and advisory assignments as a way to identify areas of both revenue and expense opportunity at a hotel, relative to other comparable assets.
Prior to joining hotelAVE, Mr. Ulnick was a revenue management intern with the Westin New York at Times Square. There, he developed a model to track different booking behaviors and crafted strategies to increase hotel market share based on these behaviors. Prior to that, Mr. Ulnick served as an acquisitions intern for The Bay Club Company, where he evaluated multiple acquisition targets for the CEO of the company.
