The firm is in search of a highly motivated, creative and proactive professional to join our firm as VP of Advisory & Acquisitions. This individual will report to the Executive Vice President of Advisory & Acquisitions and be an accomplished detail-oriented professional with a proven track record in the lodging sector and demonstrated associate and client leadership. This role will entail carrying out advisory and acquisition assignments for our internal and external clients, while actively coaching and training team members, and ensuring highest level of quality of the deliverables. The ideal candidate presents an experience oriented knowledge base of market dynamics, buy/sell transactions, financial analytics, benchmarking, hotel operations and the hospitality industry.
We are searching for a motivated Staff Accountant to join us in a critical role of providing accounting and financial support services to multiple hotel ownership clients. This role will assist with hotel ownership client related accounting processes that include recording ownership transactions, maintaining balance sheet account reconciliations, external financial reporting, external audit support, financial analysis and other accounting special projects. You should be detail oriented, accurate and have an interest in accounting and financial analysis for the hotel industry.
To be a successful Staff Accountant, you should possess an understanding of basic accounting principles, be proficient in excel and experienced in using accounting general ledger software systems. You should be proactive, efficient, and organized.
This new position is ideally suited for a professional who is completing 1-3 years as a real estate analyst and/or a lodging finance/operations role and realizes the hospitality sector is your passion. This role requires someone with great flexibility and initiative who is eager to expand developing a knowledge base in all components of hotel real estate capital structuring, acquisitions, operations and brands through working with the “who’s who” of private equity and operators of lodging assets in the US, Latin America and Europe.
