Abbe Walter, Vice President, has 30 years of financial accounting and operations experience. She uses this experience to support the asset management team in the areas of internal controls and procedures, food and beverage, transition management, forecasting, cash flow modeling, and labor efficiency analysis. Ms. Walter is the developer of Hotel Earnings Report Overview, Inc. (HERO), a program used by hotelAVE that validates balance sheet activity against the income statement in order to enhance cash flow and identify internal audit opportunities.
In addition to her work with hotelAVE, Ms. Walter works with StepStone Hospitality, our sister management company providing property transition assistance and accounting oversight in her role as Finance lead for the Company.
Ms. Walter was previously the Controller for the Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel in Boston where she completed the conversion of the property from independent management to Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, and then subsequently to Fairmont Hotels & Resorts.
